And So It Has Begun
Here is Wayne, Camp Host at Assateague Island National Seashore. He presently has not been able to access the internet so that is why he has not updated his blog recently. Hopefully we can get to a McD's sometime this weekend. I am still working at the law office. It has been wonderful waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean, and on nice days, seeing a beautiful sunrise. We both have been busy but getting off to a good start. I hope to update with more info soon.

Its getting closer...the time for us to move out of a stick and bricks and move permanently into our TT. May 1st we have our first workamping position. Wayne has made many modifications to the inside of our TT to help with storage, such as some additional shelves and decorative hooks. I am still struggling with what to leave behind in the way of clothes and shoes...they all just won't fit!

Seven Things About Me!
Per the inspiration of midlifecruiser, I am making my list of seven things you don’t know about me. There are probably many many things you don’t know about me, but I am willing to reveal seven of them.
1. I have been 'The Mother of The Bride' two times.
2. I was afraid of dogs when I was a child and now I cannot live without mine.
3. I grew up in a ‘row home’ in Baltimore County.
4. My grandfather was a coal miner in the mountains of western Maryland...so that makes me a ‘Coal Miner’s Granddaughter’.
5. My husband has built many beautiful homes in his life.
6. I used to smoke 30 cigarettes a day. (Quit 4/21/1998)
7. I can hardly wait until we are at the Florida Visitor Center again so I can a cup of that wonderful juice!

What a great Christmas Season we are having. This is our youngest grandchild...6 months old...and she is just loving all the excitement of Christmas. We always have a lot of traveling around to do to be able to see all eight of our grandkids. Maybe one of these days we will get a picture of all eight of them at one time. I think I will start working on a collage of pictures of the grandkids.

My sister, Chris, and I were really spoiled at Christmas. We always had lots of presents on Christmas morning, and then more aunts and uncles and grandparents to see where we would continue the unwrapping of one present after the other. I still feel the same excitment at Christmas as I did as a kid. I am the first one to have Christmas lights on the outside and it is very difficult for me to wait until Thanksgiving to put up the tree. I try to put off the wrapping of presents and the baking of cookies or I will be done all the fun Christmas stuff way before I need to...

SNOWBIRDS
....Wishing I was a Snowbird right about now. Temps went down to the 30s last night and its not even Thanksgiving yet! I know one day we will be Fulltimers, but just knowing there are warmer places to wait out the winter just makes me want to drop everything, jump in our TT and take off! But, back to reality, I still have to work a while longer, and we still have some stuff to sell and/or give away and/or store. Being close to 60 I know how fast time flys but why does it seem to be going by so much slower these days?
